The Goodman Foundation is committed to making a sustained and tangible difference through four interconnected areas of focus

We support communities to prepare for disasters and then to respond and initiate recovery as soon as they happen. We work with partners equipped to deliver immediate response and sustained disaster and humanitarian relief.

Our history

Since 2004, the Goodman Foundation has been actively supporting the urban communities we operate in. Our focus has always been to provide tangible, sustainable support for people experiencing disadvantage and hardship.

We have started out as a founding partner for many of the organisations we work with and then we’ve supported them to scale. However, regardless of where our partners are in their growth journey, we help build capacity and provide practical support where it’s needed most.

Our 2030 investment

In line with the growing need for community support, we have a target to invest $100million into the urban communities we operate in by 2030.

How we help

We help by providing real support where, and when, it’s needed most. When we find a community-based organisation doing great things, with the potential to do more, we help it grow, scale, and make a much bigger impact. 

Our support is offered as:

• Financial support: Funding for programs with defined outcomes, usually over one to three years 
• Do good: Goodman people volunteering or fundraising for community organisations 
• Give back: Workplace giving that matches contributions from Goodman people
• In-kind: Donations of our expertise, our time, furniture, technology and other critical items.

Employee engagement programs

Our Foundation programs are designed to help engage our team and provide opportunities for them to contribute to the community. The Goodman team, together with the Goodman Foundation, makes a difference through opportunities, big and small.
